St Helena Conference 2019 – Nature’s Benefits: Natural Capital in the South Atlantic

The South Atlantic Natural Capital project will be disseminated results at a conference held on St Helena. The conference was attended by participants from St Helena, the Falkland Islands, Ascension Island, South Georgia and Tristan da Cunha, including political representatives from each island. International organisations and universities who have been connected to the project was also represented.  Talks covered a range of topics about nature’s benefits from water provision in cloud forests to the value of the deep sea. The conference was a  platform for St Helena researchers and students to share the outcomes of related research that they were doing on island. 

The conference is funded by the UK government and is organised by SAERI in partnership with St. Helena Government Enterprise St Helena and St. Helena Tourism.
